iOS 15 Safari Address Bar Covers ROES Web Checkout Buttons
Use this article when ROES Web checkout buttons are hidden on an iPhone using iOS 15 and Safari.
Applies To
This article applies to ROES Web on an iPhone using iOS 15 and the Safari browser.
Cause
In iOS 15, Safari can show the address/search bar either at the top or the bottom of the browser. If the address bar is displayed at the bottom, it can cover ROES Web checkout navigation buttons.
Quick Fix
Move the Safari address bar back to the top of the screen.
Solution
Open ROES Web in Safari
On the iPhone, open ROES Web in the Safari browser.
Tap the “aA” button
Tap the two A’s, shown as aA, at the left side of the Safari address bar.
Move the address bar to the top
Choose the option that moves the address bar back to the top of the browser window.
Expected Result
Once the Safari address bar is moved back to the top, the Next and Back buttons in ROES Web checkout panes should no longer be obscured.
Escalation Notes
- Confirm the customer is using Safari on iOS 15.
- Confirm the Safari address/search bar is positioned at the bottom of the screen.
- Confirm the checkout Next and Back buttons become visible after moving the address bar to the top.
- If the issue continues after moving the address bar, check whether the browser is zoomed or whether another iOS display setting is affecting page layout.
